Nestled in the northwestern corner of France, Brittany is rich in history, culture and culinary delights. The landscape is adorned with medieval architecture, from the majestic Mont Saint-Michel (an island at high tide) to the quaint cobblestone streets of Dinan adorned with timber-framed houses. The scent of freshly made crepes wafts through the streets, and succulent sardines arrive straight from the sea. Along the coast, lively ports offer a glimpse into Brittany's vibrant maritime life. Yohann, the owner of Le Coq Epicier, has selected some of his favourite things that remind him of home.

Meet our producers

Marlette

Inspired by the quality ingredients from their hometown in Île de Ré (an island off the western coast of France), two sisters created a line of organic, high-quality cake kits.

La Cour d'Orgères

La Cour d'Orgères, a family-run establishment nestled along the Quiberon peninsula coast, has crafted exceptional artisanal jams for over half a century. Today, the legacy continues with the capable hands of the daughters, Vérène (the jam maker) and Marie-Charlotte. Each batch is prepared in a red copper cauldron, with whole fruits (peel included) cooked at high heat to produce a jam with intense aroma and flavour.

L'atelier Du Sel

L'atelier Du Sel, a family-run business, operates its salt pans on the sun-soaked shores of Brittany in the Guérande Peninsula. Harvesting occurs 30 days annually during the summer when skilled harvesters use wooden rakes to skim the water's surface to gather the prized salt crystals.

AMBR'1

AMBR'1 was created by Caroline and Nicholas Hubert, who met while working under the Michelin-starred chef Olivier Roellinger. Their salted caramels capture the flavours of Brittany by using the finest raw ingredients, like artisanal butter from Jean-Yves Bordier in Saint-Malo.

La Quiberonnaise

La Quiberonnaise, a family-run cannery since 1921, produces award-winning canned sardines using fresh catches from trusted local fishermen near the Quiberon peninsula. Hand-prepared within 48 hours of catch, the sardines undergo brining and a meticulous drying process in a temperature-controlled tunnel.
